The undersigned hereby makes application for electric service and agrees to pay for said service as measured by Lexington Electric System (LES)’s meter according to rate applicable. In the event of meter failure or tampering charges will be determined by LES.
The applicant agrees to permit authorized agents of LES free access to the premises of the consumer for the purpose of inspecting, reading, repairing, or removing property of City; free access will include maintenance of lines, such as pole and transformer changes, right-of-way trimming and cutting, etc.
LES shall have the right. But shall not be obligated, to inspect any installation before electric service is introduced, or at any later time, and reserves the right to reject any wiring or appliances not in accordance with City’s standards; but such inspection or failure to inspect or reject shall not be regarded as an insurance against defects in installation, wiring, or appliances, and shall not render City liable or responsible for any loss or damage, resulting from defects in the installation, wiring or appliances, or from violation of LES’s rules and regulations or from accidents which may occur upon consumer’s premises.
The applicant agrees that this application is subject to LES’s Rules and Regulations, a copy of which is open for inspection at the office of LES, and that these Rules and Regulations are a part of this agreement. In the case of default of payment, applicant promises to pay any legal interest due, together with any collection charges and responsible attorney’s fees incurred in an effort to collect on this account and any subsequent locations.
